TV troubleshooting and FAQs

Situation

When headphones are connected to the TV, there is no sound coming out of them.

Checklist

Ensure that:

● the software is up-to-date

● the headphones work on another device

● the TV is not muted

● the TV speaker’s volume is independent from the headphones’

● the headphones’ own volume is not set to minimum
● the headphones are connected to the correct connector

Note: Do not connect the headphones to the “Serv.U” connector, which is for service purposes only.

Answer

There is a headphones volume setting in the TV menu, independently adjustable from the speaker’s volume on the remote control. If the headphones volume is set to minimum, there will be no sound coming out of them.

Attention: This is not applicable to non-Android Smart TVs from 2018 (58x3, 62x3, 65x3, 67x3 and 6803 series). In these sets, the headphones’ sound is not independent from the TV’s sound; when the headphones are connected, the TV speakers will be automatically deactivated. Both volume levels are controlled by the remote control buttons.

To adjust the headphones volume, follow these steps:

1. Press the “Home”/ “Settings” button on the remote control and select:

[Setup] / [TV settings] / [All settings]> [Sound] > [Headphones volume]

2. Press “OK” to enter the option.

3. Press the cursors “up” and “down” to adjust the headphones volume.

4. Press “OK” to confirm.

5. Press the “back” button on the remote control to exit the menu.
