TV troubleshooting and FAQs

To check the software version that is currently installed on the TV follow steps 1-4.
To find out how to update the software, start with step 5.

1. View a channel
• View a random channel on the TV

Note: if you have a xxPFL29x8, xxPFL30x8 or xxPFL31x8 press the “Home” button on the remote control instead of going to a random channels

2. Enter the Philips CSM menu
• Press “1 2 3 6 5 4” on the remote control of the TV, just as fast like you would select a TV channel.
• If the channel reappears, try “1 2 3 6 5 4” another time

Our Philips CSM menu will appear.



Write down the set type (= model number) of your TV, for example 65OLED873/12 in the picture above. This can be useful during the software update


3. Scroll to Philips CSM 2 menu
• Press the ‘arrow down’ button

The second page of the CSM menu will appear.


Write down the ‘current main software’ version mentioned in the TV, in this example TPM171E _ 003.000.246.005. This can be useful during the software update.

4. Exit the CSM menu
• Press the “Home” button to exit and to return to normal TV channels

5. Software update:
Please continue to the following page to update the software
