Answer
Philips Smart TVs can be connected to the internet via an Ethernet cable (wired) or via a wireless internet signal. Depending on the preferred connection, proceed with step 1 or 2 below:

Tip: A wired connection between the TV and the home network is recommeded to ensure a stable and strong connection. Wireless connections, depending on the environment and equipment used, can be less stable or be affected by interference.

1. Connect the TV to the internet using a wired connection (Ethernet cable)
Attach the cable (‘Ethernet cable’) in the back of the TV and into the router (in the ‘LAN port’).
• Press the "Home" button on the remote control of the TV and select:

• Press the “Home” button on the remote control of the TV and select: [Setup] > [Connect to network] > [Wireless] > [Scan] or [WPS]

WPS (recommended)
If the router has WPS, a direct connection can be made to the router without scanning:
• Select [WPS]
• Go to the router, press the WPS button and return to the TV within 2 minutes

• Select [Connect] on the TV

Scan
The TV will scan for all available wireless networks:
• Select the wireless home network

Note: if the wireless network does not appear in the list select [Manual entry] in the [Wireless] menu and enter the name of the wireless network.

• Enter the encryption key of the wireless network. The standard password can be found on the router or in the documents of the router.

• If the encryption key for this network has been entered before, select [Next] to establish the connection immediately.

Note: If a remote control with the QWERTY keyboard on the back is used, it is advised to use only one type of input at a time (remote's QWERTY keyboard or the on-screen keyboard). If both are used to enter the encryption key, a delay may occur when the type of input is changed.
